JEWELRY CLEANING + CARE GUIDE
Modern heirlooms made to last, Oni offers meaningful jewelry designed to tell your story for years to come. In order to preserve the beauty of your pieces, we recommend adhering to the following cleaning and care tips.
CLEANING
When it’s time to clean your jewelry, we suggest using:
Water and Dish Soap: For a quick shine, use your hands to gently clean the jewelry with water and dish soap in a small bowl or sink with a closed drain. Pat to dry.
Water and Baking Soda: For a slightly deeper clean, mix two tablespoons of water and one tablespoon of baking soda together. Once a paste consistency is achieved, apply it onto a toothbrush or cloth and scrub gently onto the jewelry. Rinse and pat to dry with a soft cloth.
Baking Soda and Vinegar: To remove heavy tarnish, soak the jewelry in two tablespoons of baking soda and half a cup of vinegar for 2-3 hours. Rinse and pat to dry with a soft cloth.
For an even greater shine, we recommend finishing off freshly cleaned and dried jewelry with a polishing cloth.
CARING
Our endlessly versatile pieces are made to last forever under the following care guidelines:
Wear Your Jewelry Regularly: It might surprise you to find that natural oils from your skin help keep silver shiny.
Avoid or Limit Contact with Chemicals: Ingredients found in perfume, lotion, hairspray, makeup, and household cleaning products can accelerate tarnish and corrosion.
Remove Your Jewelry Before These Activities: Swimming, sunbathing, hot tubbing, and hot spring lounging can cause the jewelry to tarnish because of chemical or heat reactions.
Store Your Jewelry Properly: When not in use, keep your jewelry in a safe, room temperature place without risk of scratching, denting, or damaging the pieces.
YOUR HAPPINESS
Customer satisfaction is our top priority. That’s why all of our pieces come with a six-month repair promise at no additional cost. That is The Oni Commitment. Once six months have passed since the purchase date, jewelry repair, if needed, will be quoted as per the state of the jewelry at that point in time.
